Capt Viriatobab Fernandes seems to be a man in a hurry. The captain appears to be all geared up to descend on the battlefield with his foot soldiers in the ensuing civic election with a one-point agenda “ to stop the advancing saffron brigade. He has ruled out the possibility of activists contesting the municipal polls. He, however, has vowed to play a strategic role against candidates fielded by the saffron brigade. An ex-army man, the captain knows for sure when to strike to stop an advancing enemy. He is too eager to checkmate the saffron brigade before 2022. Will he succeed? Wait and watch.
