Nuvem's Baida Boys emerged triumphant in the 2nd All Goa Inter-Village Cricket Tournament, hosted by United Sports Club of Seraulim, securing a decisive 20-run win over United Club of Verna in the final.
The final match saw Baida Boys set a target of 55 runs in 4 overs, propelled by Mario Colaco's explosive 30 runs, including four towering sixes. Their bowling attack, led by Milind and Ayush Velekar, proved formidable, restricting United Club of Verna to just 35 runs. Despite Abay Naik's 13 runs and two sixes, and Johnson's economical bowling for Verna, they fell short.
Baida Boys' path to victory included wins against USC Seraulim's A and B teams, as well as Nuvem Boys. United Club Verna reached the final by defeating Happening Boys Nuvem, Davorlim Boys, and Damodar Cricketers Murdim, Cansaulim.
The champions received a prize of Rs 25,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up took home Rs 15,000 and a trophy. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Adv. Nitesh Sakaram Parab, Guest of Honour Ruban D'Costa, and Pio Vales, along with President Poli Cruz and Sports Secretary Steven Fernandes.
