Dicarpale SC secured a thrilling semi-final berth in the St Anthony Festival Cup after defeating Uguem Rising Club 5-3 on penalties played at Moll ground, Assolda.
Dicarpale SC drew first blood with Vellroy Colaco finding the net. However, Uguem Rising Club refused to back down, equalising through Prathmesh Gaonkar to force the tie-breaker.
In the penalty shootout, Dicarpale SC held their nerve. William Niasso, Sahil Inamdar, Prince Figuredo, and Vellroy Colaco all converted their spot-kicks while Uguem Rising Club could only manage two successful penalties from Prathamesh Gaonkar and Lawren Fernandes.
