JK Caterers Maina edged past Margarita Boys Assolna 3-2 to win the 16th Rebello Pandal Cup in an exciting final at St Rita Church ground.
Jowyin Carneiro of JK Caterers broke the deadlock in the 13th minute with a placement shot. JK Caterers dominated the game and Jowyin doubled the lead with a long-ranger in the 21st minute. Then James of Margarita Boys shot wide. Joel of JK Caterers netted the third goal in the 27th minute to make it 3-0 before the break.
In the second half, James pulled a goal back for Margarita Boys in the 48th minute. Myson of Margarita Boys netted in the 50th minute to make it 2-3.
Individual prizes: Best striker of the final - Jowyin Carneiro (JK Caterers Maina), Best goalkeeper of the final - Presly (JK Caterers Maina), Best defender of the final - Myson (Margarita Boys Assolna).
Reginald Lourenco, MLA of Curtorim constituency, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of footballer Jessel Carneiro.
