MARGAO: Our Lady of Health High School from Cuncolim secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Regina Martyrum High School from Assolna in the U-14 school tournament, organised by the Navelim Villagers Union at Rosary ground, Navelim.
Cuncolim dominated the first half, leading 3-0 at halftime. Sanchil Singh opened the scoring with a powerful shot in the fifth minute, followed by two quick goals from Cyrus Pinto in the ninth and 14th minutes.
In the second half, Assolna improved their play, but Cuncolim's defense was solid, preventing any scoring attempts. With this victory, Our Lady of Health High School advanced to the semifinals. Cyrus Pinto was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Mickey Rebello, former Salgaocar player and GFDC coach.
