Lawyer Challengers eliminate Lotlikar Lions to meet Risers in Qualifier 2

United Brothers stormed into the final of the Advocates Cricket League (ACL T20) 2025 with a four-wicket win over Risers in Qualifier 1 at the GCA ground, Porvorim, on Thursday.

Risers, batting first, posted 176/8 in 20 overs, thanks to contributions from Dattaprasad Shirodkar (37), Dattaraj Arondekar (33), Abhinav Marathe (31), Shantaram Naik (23), and Ashok Kassar (23). Ashish Desai and Raghu Parab took two wickets each for United Brothers.

In reply, United Brothers overhauled the target in 19.1 overs, losing six wickets. Satyam Ghogale top-scored with 41, while Dattaraj Gawas (39), Showmik Angle (24), Dattaraj Parab (20), and Coburn Franco (18 not out) played crucial roles. Risers’ Dattaprasad Shirodkar claimed 3/20, but his efforts were in vain.

In the Eliminator match, Lawyer Challengers defeated Lotlikar Lions by 18 runs. Lawyer Challengers posted 138 before being bowled out in 19.2 overs, with Mithun Govekar top-scoring with 32. Viraj Tar and Devanand Korgaonkar chipped in with 25 and 24 runs, respectively. Pankaj Dessai and Shailesh Redkar took two wickets each for Lotlikar Lions.

In reply, Lotlikar Lions were bowled out for 120 in 19.2 overs. Viraj Tar (3/18) and Harsh Parekh (3/14) were the chief architects of Lawyer Challengers’ win, sharing six wickets between them. Sandeep DMello (28) and Kunal Naik Gaonkar (22) were the main run-getters for Lotlikar Lions.

Risers will face Lawyer Challengers in Qualifier 2 on Friday, with the winner advancing to the final against United Brothers.
