MARGAO
The All India Football Federation (AIFF), in collaboration with the Goa Football Association (GFA), successfully conducted the AFC ‘B’ Licence (Module 1) coaching course at Margao. The 10-day course featured both practical and theoretical sessions aimed at enhancing the tactical, technical, and managerial knowledge of football coaches.
Led by former India international and experienced AFC coach educator Mariano Dias, the course saw the participation of 24 coaches, including five from Goa and 19 from various other states.
Dias was assisted by Gavin Araujo (Assistant Coach Educator), while Anthony Lobo served as the Course Coordinator. Vivek Nagul, the AIFF’s Technical Director for Coach Education, oversaw the program's academic and technical standards.
The first module of the course spanned 10 days, with the second module scheduled to take place after two months as per the AFC B Diploma course structure. The program is designed to educate coaches in areas such as tactical and technical development, leadership and management, player identification, and the physiological and psychological needs of players.
Mariano Dias expressed his gratitude to the Goa Football Association for hosting the course and acknowledged the support and cooperation of the GFA staff throughout the program.
