Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda secured a place in the GFA U-16 Division 2 Salcete Zone finals after defeating CRC Chinchinnim 5-3 in a tense penalty shootout at the Don Bosco Oratory ground on Saturday.
The match ended 1-1 in regular time, with Mericson Andrade scoring for Don Bosco and Eben Denver Pinheiro equalising for CRC Chinchinnim. In the penalty shootout, Aron Shane Furtado, Presely Faleiro, Feo Quadros, and Mericson Andrade scored for Don Bosco, while Allan Teo Rodrigues and Eben Denver found the net for Chinchinnim. Don Bosco goalkeeper Rio Fernandes was the hero, saving two penalties to secure the victory.
Don Bosco will face Ave Maria A&WC in the South Zone finals on December 22 at Cansaulim ground.
