MARGAO: Fr. Agnel Sports and Cultural Club, Paroda, defeated CAC Cansaulim 2-0 to storm into the quarterfinals of the 32nd All-Goa Inter-Village Football Tournament. The tournament is being organised by United Club of Utorda in association with the Sports Authority of Goa at the Utorda Ground.
The first half saw an evenly contested battle between the two sides, with both teams creating opportunities but failing to find the back of the net. The score remained 0-0 at half-time.
After the break, Paroda stepped up the tempo and broke the deadlock through Steven Menezes. Godwin Fernandes later added a second goal to seal the victory and confirm their place in the quarterfinals.
Livan Clement was declared Man of the Match. The award was presented by Chief Guest Raymond Azavedo in the presence of Benny Vaz.
