MARGAO: In an exciting clash at the TSH Goa Cup 2026, Fr Agnel, Verna edged past Rising Shooters, Navelim with a 2-1 victory in a closely contested match.
The game began on a competitive note, with both teams displaying strong intent and energy. Fr Agnel, Verna opened the scoring early when Vance Dias found the net in the 6th minute, giving his side an early advantage.
Rising Shooters, Navelim responded well, leveling the score in the 17th minute through a goal by Alden Dias. The first half witnessed a neck-to-neck battle, with both teams creating opportunities but unable to break the deadlock further, ending the half at 1–1.
In the second half, Fr Agnel, Verna came back with renewed determination. Vance Dias once again proved decisive, scoring his second goal of the match in the 36th minute to restore his team’s lead.
Despite continued efforts from Rising Shooters, Navelim to equalize, Fr Agnel’s defense held firm till the final whistle, securing a well-earned 2–1 win.
Vance Dias was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance and match-winning brace. The award was presented by Tr Limsy of Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim.
