The 25th edition of the Goichi League 2026 All Goa Leather Ball T-20 Cricket Tournament, organized by Sanguem Cricketers, will be held from February 20 to March 11, at the MCC Ground, Margao, with all matches played under floodlights.

Sanguem Cricketers has been organizing Leather Ball T-20 cricket tournaments in Goa for over two decades. In 2024, the tournament was rebranded as the Goichi League, introducing a structured league format, player auctions, and innovative playing conditions. The 2026 edition marks the Silver Jubilee of the tournament and is expected to be the biggest edition so far.

The tournament will feature eight of Goa’s top cricketing teams, namely Dempo Cricket Club, Salgaocar Cricket Club, Chowgule Global, MCC, Deserts and More Avengers, Priority Titans (Defending Champions), 1919 Sports, and Dhadsakhal Stars.

The competition will be played in a league-cum-knockout format, with the teams divided into two groups of four teams each. Each team will play three league matches, and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. Teams will be awarded two points for a win, one point each for a tie, and Net Run Rate will be used to decide standings in case of teams finishing level on points.

Each participating team will have a minimum squad of 15 players. Teams will be required to acquire 11 to 12 players through the player auction, while being permitted to include one Goan Marquee Player and up to three outstation players.

Player registration will be conducted online through www.sanguemcricketers.com, and a one-time membership fee of ₹1,000 will be applicable for Goichi League 2026.

The tournament will follow a defined player remuneration structure through the auction. The highest bid player will receive ₹25,000, followed by ₹20,000, ₹16,000, ₹14,000, ₹12,000, and ₹12,000 for the next highest bids, while the remaining players will equally share ₹51,000. In cases where multiple players are bought at the same bid value, the amount will be averaged within the respective slab.

Goichi League 2026 will offer the highest prize money ever awarded in any local T-20 cricket tournament in Goa, with the champion team set to receive ₹10 lakh along with a trophy, while the runners-up will be awarded ₹6 lakh and a trophy. Additional individual awards will also be presented for outstanding performances during the tournament.

All matches of the Goichi League 2026 will be live-streamed on the Goa Livecast YouTube channel, ensuring wide digital reach and engagement among cricket fans across the state and beyond.
