Jagdam Boys emerged champions of the Third All Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament after defeating Number 4 by 39 runs in the final held at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground. The tournament was organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim.
Batting first in the summit clash, Jagdam Boys put up a strong total of 99 runs in six overs. In reply, Number 4 were restricted to 63 runs, falling short by 39 runs.
Earlier in the semifinals, Jagdam Boys overcame Musafir Boys to book their place in the final, while Number 4 defeated Rushant Strikers to set up the title clash.
The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, while the runners-up received Rs. 30,000.
Badel of Jagdam Boys had an outstanding tournament, bagging the Best Bowler and Best All-Rounder awards. Snehit of Jagdam Boys was named Best Batsman, while Ashley Fernandes of USC Seraulim received the Best Fielder award.
Dr. Pritesh Kote attended as Chief Guest, accompanied by special invitees Sohan D’Costa, Pio Vales, Ruban D’Costa, Adv. Nitesh Sakharam, Shamur Kare and Policarpo Cruz, who later presented the prizes to the winners and individual awardees.
