In a landmark initiative for football development in Goa, Real Betis Balompié, one of Spain’s premier La Liga football clubs, is set to conduct its first ever official football training camp in Goa from September 18 to 20 with The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal as the venue.
The three-day camp is open to boys and girls aged 8 to 18 and will be conducted by UEFA-licensed coaches from Real Betis Spain. Known for nurturing top talent, including Spain's international Fabián Ruiz, the Real Betis Academy places strong emphasis on player development, discipline, and values.
“At Real Betis, we don’t just train footballers—we shape values. Our mission is to share a methodology built on passion, discipline, and holistic player development,” said Javier López, International Coordinator of the Real Betis Academy and UEFA A licensed coach with global experience in youth football.
Participants will train in two separate batches (9AM–12PM or 3PM–6PM), receiving three hours of professional training each day. The camp will also include goalkeeper-specific training, and each participant will receive an official Real Betis training kit. A highlight of the event will be the selection of one Most Valuable Player (MVP), who will be given the opportunity to attend the camp 'Real Betis The Best', a one-week immersive training program, led by Real Betis coaching staff at Real Betis' Sports Facility, Rafa Gordillo in Sevilla Spain that will gather all globally selected Real Betis Camps MVP’s. This year, the Club plans to run the camp during the December 1 to 5. A unique and exclusive, by invitation only, opportunity for those selected talents to learn be seen and show themselves.
Youth in Goa are encouraged to make the most of this opportunity and confirm a seat for the camp to take their skills to new heights.
