Novovaddo SC edged past United Club Unjirim 1-0 to book a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2nd Caniza Peixoto Memorial Football Tournament, organized by Black Arrow Boys Agxem Sports Club and played at St. Alex Church Ground, Curtorim, on Monday.
Despite early opportunities for United Club of Unjirim, Dawson missed two chances to score in the 3rd and 6th minutes. Novovaddo’s Myson capitalized shortly after, netting the only goal of the match with a well-placed shot in the 10th minute.
Dawson Sardinha of United Club of Unjirim was awarded the Man of the Match, presented at the hands of Aden Peixoto.
