The Sarsangan Commonwealth Developers +45 Veterans Cricket Series 2025 got off to a thrilling start at the Arlem Cricket Ground with two closely contested matches on the opening day.
In the first match, Salcete Stallions posted 186/4 in 20 overs, riding on significant contributions from Sarvesh Kamat (38), Rakesh Mallya (35), Sandeep Dalal (35), and Vishwesh Kamat (22). Mapusa Dream Crushers started well with Mahesh Kudchadkar (22) and Siddesh Desai (33), but a middle-order collapse saw them fall short at 171/8, giving the Stallions a 15-run victory.
Sarvesh Kamat was named Drogaria Colvalcar Man of the Match, while other awards went to Rakesh Mallya (Best Batter), Viraj Padiyar (Best Bowler), Parai Dubhashi (Super Striker), and Sandeep Dalal (Impact Player).
In the second match, debutants Govindraj Legends defeated Pai & Khot Fighters by 24 runs. The Fighters struggled against disciplined bowling and were bowled out for 122 in 17.2 overs, despite a late 54-run partnership between Ramchandra Prabhu (22) and Brijesh Naik (23).
Siddhesh Bodke earned Drogaria Colvalcar Man of the Match, while Mahendra Pai Kuchelkar (Best Batter), Sanjeev Sukhtankar (Best Bowler), Sachin Kenkre (Super Striker), and Prashant Amonkar (Impact Player) claimed the other awards.
