Two Goan coaches part of AFC Pro Diploma Coaching course

MARGAO: Head Coach of Dempo Sports Club Samir Naik and assistant coach of national team Mahesh Gawali are among the 18 participants attending the prestigious AFC Pro Diploma Course conducted by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

Module 1 of the course is currently underway at South United FC, Bengaluru, from January 23 to February 1.

This marks the first time that the AFC Pro Diploma Course is being delivered by Indian Coach Educators. The programme is led by Vivek Nagul, Head of Coach Development at AIFF, who is serving as the Lead Coach Educator, while Sajid Dar is the Assistant Coach Educator.

The year-long course consists of five modules, including one international study excursion module, and features coaches from across the country. The AFC Pro Diploma is the highest coaching qualification in Asian football and plays a vital role in developing elite coaches across the continent.
