Unjirim United advanced to the next round of the 5th Cumborda Sports Club Football Tournament, following a thrilling 3-2 victory over Piedadigal FC at the St. Alex Church Ground, Curtorim.
The match got off to an energetic start, with both teams missing early opportunities to take the lead. Floyd opened the scoring for Unjirim United in the 10th minute, but the advantage was short-lived as Aliston netted the equalizer for Piedadigal FC just four minutes later.
Piedadigal FC took the lead at the half-hour mark through a fine finish by Feriston, but Unjirim United fought back, with Sheldon making it 2-2 in the 40th minute. The decisive moment came late in the match when Ryan scored from close range to seal a 3-2 win for Unjirim United.
Despite the loss, Fliezer Fernandes of Piedadigal FC was named Man of the Match for his outstanding individual performance.
