The second day of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Football Championship 2025-26 for Women witnessed thrilling performances at both the Goa University and Rosary College Grounds.
In the opening match at the Goa University Ground, Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, Margao, outclassed Shree Mallikarjun and Shri Chetan Manju Desai College of Arts & Commerce, Canacona, with a resounding 4-0 victory. Striker Anaida Dias was the star of the match, netting all four goals in the 4th, 11th, 21st, and 51st minutes, earning her the Best Performer of the Match title.
The second fixture saw VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao, register a 3-0 win over Dhempe College of Arts & Science, Miramar. Goals were scored by Klancy Cruz (10’), Riya Gomes (26’), and Tamanna Shaikh (34’), with a well-coordinated team effort sealing the result.
In the final game at the University ground, Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management, Porvorim, delivered the most dominant performance of the day, crushing PES’s Rajaram & Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy, Farmagudi, 7-0. Tanvi Khedekar led the charge with four goals (21’, 33’, 43’, 44’), supported by Riya Folkar (16’, 23’) and Rajlaxmi Arondekar (51’). Khedekar was named Best Performer of the Match.
At the Rosary College Ground, the day began with two matches decided by walkovers. Carmel College of Arts, Science & Commerce for Women, Nuvem, was awarded a win over V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, while PG. Goa University progressed past Goa College of Art, Altinho by default.
The only match played at this venue saw PES’s Ravi S. Naik College of Arts & Science, Farmagudi, defeat Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim, 3-0. Forward Divya Sartarkar scored all three goals (12’, 32’, 39’), earning her the Best Performer award.
