Wilred Leisure SC Curtorim stormed into the semifinals of the All Goa Inter-Village Football Tournament after edging Ambelim SC 6–5 in a thrilling tiebreaker at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground. The tournament is organised by the United Sports Club of Seraulim in memory of Late Rev. Fr. Joe Gomes.
Ambelim drew first blood when Aaron Pinto scored in the 10th minute, but Alison Fernandes equalised for Curtorim in the 17th minute. The first half ended 1–1. Both teams pressed hard in the second half, creating chances and making crucial saves, but neither side could find the breakthrough, leading to a tiebreaker.
In the shootout, Curtorim kept their composure, with Alison Fernandes, Fredy Hilario, Ryan Fernandes, Vicky Cardozo, and Afileo Fernandes converting their penalties. For Ambelim, only Velroy Fernandes, Joshua Pinto, Aaron Pinto, and Bleston Simoes were successful.
Ambelim goalkeeper Dillon D’Silva was awarded Man of the Match by sports enthusiast and U.S.C. Seraulim member Tony Rodrigues for his stellar performance in goal.
