Young Stars of Moula secured a commanding 89-run victory over Mashem Cricket Club in the ongoing Nanda Lolyekar Leatherball Cricket Tournament at Nirakar Ground, Mashem Dapot.
Batting first, Young Stars posted a formidable 273 in 34.2 overs, led by Atharv Kumar’s 58 and valuable contributions of 46 runs each from Suraj Gond and Yash Gadekar. For Mashem CC, Aman Komarpant picked up 4 wickets for 50, while Ravish Satarkar claimed 3 for 29, and Kaushal Desai and Ajinkya Desai took one wicket each.
In reply, Mashem CC managed 184 in 33.4 overs, with Jugal Naik Gaonkar scoring 42, Aman Komarpant 41, Vishal Naikk 24, and Nehal Chari 22. The Young Stars’ bowlers, however, kept the pressure, as Atharv Kumar grabbed 4 for 17, Suraj Gond 2 for 11, and Yogesh Naik 2 for 38.
