Goa's Under-19 women's team suffered their second consecutive defeat in the Under-19 Women's One-Day Cricket Tournament. On Monday, at the Infipro Sports Club ground in Vadodara, Goa went down to Uttar Pradesh by five wickets. Showing improvement compared to their previous match, Goa managed to score 138 runs in 37.1 overs. Uttar Pradesh chased down the target in 28.4 overs, losing five wickets.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Goa opener and captain Harshita Yadav fought a lone battle, scoring 77 runs off 96 balls with 11 fours. Apart from her, only Sanchita Sail (12) managed to reach double figures. For Uttar Pradesh, Khushi Tyagi and Siddhi Mishra took three wickets each.

While defending the modest target, Uttar Pradesh were once struggling at 31 for 3 and later 62 for 4. However, Sanvi Bhatia (42) and Khushi Tyagi (33) put on a 61-run partnership to steady the innings and take the team home. Goa's bowlers put in a good effort, with Usma Khan claiming 2 wickets for 30 runs and Angel DCosta taking 2 for 41. Goa will play their next match against Puducherry on the December 17.
