The AIFF U-19 Colts breezed past Goa Pro league team Calangute Association 3-0 at SAG Artificial Turf, Fatorda on Tuesday.
After a drab first half, wherein both teams failed to score, the Indian Colts turned up in style in the second half, scoring three goals in the last 20 minutes of the match.
In the 71st minute, the Indian Colts earned a penalty after Edmund was brought down inside the box, Edmund did little wrong from the spot and blasted the ball home to give the AIFF U-19 Colts a solitary goal lead. Eight minutes later, Tluanga doubled the Colts’ lead as he latched on to a Biswa through ball from the midfield and lobbed the ball over an onrushing custodian to make the scoreline read 2-0. Tluanga added more gloss to the scoreline in the dying embers of the match as this time he was found by Hrishi in the box, and Tluanga slotted it home to make the full-time scoreline read 3-0.
