PANAJI: Banda and CGC-B pleyed out a 1-1 draw in the first match on Day 3 in the Assolna Parish Cup.
CGC-B took an early lead with Myron Monteiro scoring in the 10th minute. However, Banda quickly responded, with Cashwin Da Costa equalising just three minutes later. Both teams battled hard, but neither could find the back of the net again, resulting in a draw. Cashwin Da Costa was awarded Man of the Match for his impactful performance.
In the second match, Ambelim-A faced Bairro Premeiro Bainaque. Ozen Silva opened the scoring for Ambelim-A in the 8th minute. Nathan Lobo, a young talent from Bairro Premeiro Bainaque, leveled the score in the 22nd minute. However, Ozen Silva quickly responded, regaining the lead for Ambelim-A just a minute later, and he completed his hat-trick shortly thereafter. Silva's stellar performance earned him the Man of the Match title.
In the first tie breaker, CGC overcame Banda in a closely contested match, securing a 3-2 victory. Goals from Cheryl, Jesryl, and MaryAnn propelled CGC to victory, while Razia and Sushmita scored for Banda.
The second tie breaker featured Tarivaddo defeating Bairro Premeiro Bainaque 2-0, with goals from Roxanne and Daisy sealing their win.
