Siblings Siddharth and Aishwarya Nunes, along with the pair of Sreenath and Tanya Shelyazhynska-Caldeira, advanced to the semi-finals of the open mixed doubles category at the Bandodkar Panjim Gymkhana Tennis Open 2026 following convincing wins in their quarter-final matches.
Siddharth and Aishwarya defeated Neale Fernandes and Raisa Menezes 6-1, while Sreenath and Tanya dominated their encounter with a 6-0 win over Debayan Das and Tomoyo Fujita.
In the men’s open singles category, Dimitry Smirnov blanked Neenad Desai 6-0, while Santosh overcame Kedar Tari 6-3. Lyndon Pinto beat Kishor Metry 6-2 and Siddharth Nunes eased past Debayan Das 6-0. Arnam Ghosh registered a 6-3 win over Rajaram Paiginkar, while Punit Fadte edged Shrish Lohiya 7-5. Shaurya Awasthi defeated Kshitij Garg 6-0, Akhil Shirwaikar beat Raoul Vas 6-2, Sameer Kakodkar got the better of Rohit Shetty 6-1, and Raju Kundaikar overcame Tanay Amonkar 6-2. Prince Agnelo Joven De Silva also progressed with a 6-4 win over Dunstan Dias.
In the boys’ under-14 singles category, Kyan Mavany and Adianta Devaraya advanced to the final after winning their respective semi-finals.
In the men’s open doubles, Rihan Colaco and Shubert Colaco secured a 7-5 win over Aaron Braz Monteiro and Gary Steele, while Lyndon J. Pinto and Pankaj Nanoskar beat Adianta Devaraya and Kane Pereira 6-2.
In the men’s 45+ doubles category, Anurag Agrawal and Jai Gill progressed to the semi-finals with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Mano Chhabra and Suraj Pombra.
The tournament, which honours Goa’s first Chief Minister Dayanand Bandodkar, continues over the coming days with 247 players competing across multiple categories.
