Chandor Club entered the final with a hard fought 3-2 win over Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda in a semi-finals of the 13th London Trophy 2019 organised by Goa Velha Sports Club and played at Goa Velha Sports Club Ground on Saturday.
In an action packed match, Chandor Club surged ahead through Louie Noronha in the 13th minute of play. Francis Andrade equalised the lead as he scored of a penalty kick in the 20th minute. Both the teams were tied 1-1 at the breather.
In the second half, Sunny Fernandes regained the lead for Chandor Club in the 53rd minute of play. Shafik Sheikh further increased the lead for Chandor Club to make it 3-1 in the 61st minute. Don Bosco Oratory
Fatorda reduced the margin in the 62nd minute of play through Francis Andrade, who converted a spot kick to make it 2-3.
Valito Miranda of Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda and Sevaraj D’Costa, Daniel D’Costa of Chandor Club were cautioned by the match referee Shivram Thanekar.
