Churchill Brothers Sports Club and Corps of Signals were involved in a goalless draw in the GFA Pro League at 3 MTR, Navelim ground on Saturday.

Churchill Brothers enjoyed slight edge over their opponents in the opening session and nearly broke the deadlock as early moments of the game when striker Doyl D'Silva picked up the ball from Pankaj Sona but the former's shot hit the post and rebounded.

Churchill Brothers had another opportunity but midfielder Chesterpaul Lyndoh fumbled at a crucial moment. In another notable move, Salam Singh of Crops released his powerful drive but it hit the post. Lyndoh then wasted a chance from close range.

Within four minutes, the Corps had a chance through Lairellakpasm Singh but his left-footer got a deflection off Churchill defender Midred Rebello and went out for a corner kick. Doyl tried one more solo effort for Churchill in the 20th minute but shot wide.

A goalmouth opportunity was then wasted by Ankan Dawn, the striker of Corps, in the 30th minute as his header got diverted with Churchill Brothers' Leander D'Cunha trying to block his header. Divash Sudan of Churchill then shot wide in the 36th minute. The second half saw both teams trying to get the winner but their strikers failed to convert any of the chances that came their way.
