Dempo Cricket Club took a vital 93-run first innings lead over Chowgule Sports Club on the second day of the three-day match of the Premier Division league cricket match played at Porvorim Cricket Academy grounds, Porvorim on Wednesday.
Chowgule SC's innings resumed from 74 for 4 in reply of Dempo CC first inning score of 262 runs were bundled out for 168 with Syuash Prabhudesai top-scoring with 40 runs.
For Dempo CC, spinner Amit Yadav did most of the damage and took six wickets for 55 runs while Samar Kadri took 3 wickets. Dempo CC were 87 for 5 in their second innings and extended their lead to 180. At the draw of stumps, Punit Bisht was batting on 32 runs.
