Two Indians Dhruthi Venugopal and Riya Bhatia, along with South Korea’s Pei-Chi Lee made it to the second round of the singles at the USD 25,000 Endurance Aurangabad Open Women’s ITF Tennis Championships which got underway at the EMMTC tennis courts here Monday.

Qualifier Riya Bhatia continued with her good form to regsiter a 7-6(2) 6-1 win over former junior national champion Sri Vaishnavi Peddi Reddy, while South Korean Pei-Chi Lee outplayed qualifier Sneha Padmata 6-4 6-0 to make the round of 16.In an upset in the doubles, birthday girl Ankita Raina teamed up with Miki Miyamura to make it to the quarter finals.The Indo-Japanese pair led 6-2 5-0 before the fourth-seeded pair of Prarthana G Thombare and Nungnadda Wannasuk of Thailand retired.
