FC Goa Social from April 18

FC Goa has announced the launch of the first edition of its new initiative ‘FC Goa Social’ programme to be held at the Goa University ground from April 18 to May 14.

The programme is designed for kids in the age group of 6-14 years who are looking for football coaching with a recreational touch to it. The programme's primary purpose is to get the kids active during the summer holidays when they are away from school and engage them in sporting activities. The programme will be run by FC Goa's Grassroots coaches and will incorporate multiple elements of the game into the training sessions.

The sessions have been designed by FC Goa Grassroots Technical Director Katz Naidoo and Development Director Gavin Araujo. Both come with a strong reputation for developing the grassroots programme and along with the grassroots coaches are responsible for the success of FC Goa's U-14 team who were the State finalists.

The session will take place three times a week from 4.30 pm to 6 pm on alternate days depending on the age groups. The programme costs Rs 3,500 for a four-week programme.
