Various FC Goa fan-made songs apart from the Official Anthem of their beloved team rented through the air, as the adulated Gaurs finally took to the turf to the palpable excitement of their supports in the precincts of their training facility.
FC Goa kick off their season with an away trip to Guwahati where they will face NorthEast United FC on October 4 before returning to Goa for their first home game against FC Pune City on October 8.

Various FC Goa fan-made songs apart from the Official Anthem of their beloved team rented through the air, as the adulated Gaurs finally took to the turf to the palpable excitement of their supports in the precincts of their training facility.
The Gaurs came on to the pitch one by one in alphabetic order with their leader, Lucio coming at the end as the cheers and Forca Goa chants escalated to deafening levels. Keeping the spirits of the FC Goa supporters on a high was ace drummer, Carlos Gonsalves with his reverberating beats.
The Gaurs thereon unveiled their new jerseys in full view of their supporters as balloons in the team colours “ blue and orange were released to the heavens celebrating the joyous moment. Post which, the players’ group picture was taken and they were joined in by their Brazilian gaffer, Zico and the rest of the support staff for another photo op.
Lucio, the former World Cup winning Brazil player then took to the occasion to present Shamu Mukherjee, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Deltin Groups, an autographed jersey.
Lucio speaking on the occasion acknowledged the presence and support of the team’s fans. “It is a new year, new time. We want to give everything, we will work hard and we are here to seek the title (ISL). Our preparations this year is better than that of last year. Everyone here (hinting at the fans and supporters present) is important to us. We have come here with your support and love. We just want to bring happiness to you and we will try our very best,” the Brazilian marquee player stated.
