Centuries by Sumiran Amonkar (136 not out, 265b, 12x4, 2x6) and Swapnil Asnodkar (123 runs, 117b, 12x4, 4x6) and their opening stand of 218 runs helped Geno Cricket Club to post 323 for 3 on the first day of the three-day Premier Division cricket match of Goa Cricket Association at Provorim Cricket Academy grounds, Saturday.
Geno won the toss and elected to bat first.The opening pair of Geno CC, hammered Salgaocar’s bowlers all round the wicket scoring 323 for 3 in 86 overs. At draw of stumps, Ankit Dabas was at the crease on 27 along with centurion Sumiran Amonkar. Arpit Vasavada was the only successful
bowler for Salgaocar as he took all the wickets that fell on the first day for 99 runs.
