Zai Sayed scored four goals as GFDC Valpoi thumped GFDC Khandepar 8-0 in a U-13 boys match played at MIBK School ground, Khandepar in the ongoing 5th Edition of the GFDC Rising Star Football Festival.
The trainees from Valpoi controlled the game while keeping most of the possession and giving very little room to the Khandepar forwards to operate. The others to add their names to the scoresheet were Ayan Khan, Saish Gawas and T Gawas.
GFDC Pernem beat GFDC Colvale, 6-3 in a U-13 boys match at Revora school ground. Pernem took the lead in the very 2nd minute through Vipul Parsekar and 10 minute later Sai Kambli scored the equaliser. In the 22nd minute, Pernem’s Laxman Satardekar curled in a corner kick. Few minutes later, Dilesh Morajkar equalised through a corner kick, 2-2.
A little before the half an hour mark Swayam Kerkar converted a penalty awarded to Pernem. Arjun Gawas levelled the score once again, 3-3. The Pernem side scored three more goals in the 31st, 46th and 48th minute through the boots of Ganesh Narverkar, Swayam and Siddhesh Parab respectively. Swayam was named as the Man of the match for his outstanding performance.
In another U-13 boys match, GFDC Socorro beat GFDC Poira 1-0 at Socorro ground. Pankaj Sharma scored the match winner in the 25th minute. At the Quitla ground, GFDC Aldona registered a 2-1 win against GFDC Mayem. Noha Rocha secured a brace for the Aldona side while Shivam Tate was the lone scorer for Mayem.
