Goa's AIBA certified international technical official (ITO) and vice-president of Goa Amateur Boxing Association (GABA), Lenny D'Gama has gifted boxing gloves to all 114 participants of All Goa State Boxing Championship.
The gloves were distributed to the boxers at Salvador do Mundo Centre in the presence of Joint Director of Coaching, Bruno Coutinho; Organising Secretary of the championship, Ninil D'Souza and Joint Secretary, Sayada Khan.
While speaking at the function also attended by GABA secretary Danuska da Gama and coach Chitambaram Naik, Lenny said that it’s his aim to have a Goan boxer play an international boxing championship. “After having represented India at the Olympics, this is the least I can do to boost Goan boxing,” the technical delegate, who officiated in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, said.
