Goa suffered their third consecutive defeat in the Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy Elite, losing to Jharkhand by nine wickets in a Group D match at Alur Cricket Stadium 4 on Monday.
After winning the toss, Jharkhand opted to bowl and restricted Goa to 94 all out in 18.5 overs. Jharkhand then chased down the target with ease, reaching 100 for one in just 11.2 overs.
Rakshanda Kalangutkar top-scored for Goa with 25 runs, while Usma Khan made 15 and Muskan Sab added 12. Jharkhand’s Isha and Kumari Palak picked up three wickets each to keep Goa’s total in check.
In reply, Gurleen Kaur led Jharkhand’s chase with an unbeaten 48 off 23 balls, hitting four fours and six sixes. Captain Priyanka Luthra remained not out on 27, while Aanya Verma chipped in with 23 as Jharkhand cruised to victory. Pooja Kalel took the only wicket for Goa.
Goa will look to end their losing streak when they take on Odisha on October 14.
