Goa took a first innings lead of 10 runs over Pondicherry at close of play on the second day of the Ranji Trophy Plate group match at Cricket Association of Pondicherry ground, on Sunday.
Goa, who started their first innings on 252 for seven, were bowled for 270 by Pondicherry with captain Amit Verma being bowled on 121 and night watchman Amulya Pandrekar remaining not out on 22. Taileneds Fleix Alemao and Vijesh Prabhudesai were both dismissed without scoring.
Pondicherry, in reply, were bowled for 260 with their innings held together by 194 scored by PK Dogra. Felix Alemao was the star bowler for Goa, claiming six wickets for 73 in 19.4 overs. Vijesh Prabhudesai claimed two wickets while Lakshay Garg and Darshan Misal claimed one each.
