Host Navelim Sporting blanked Betalbatim Sporting Club to book their place in the semi-finals of the 41st Gold Silver Rolling trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Navelim Sporting Club and played at Rosary Church Ground, Navelim on Tuesday.
Navelim Sporting Club dominated the match and took the lead through Nash Pereira in the 24th minute of the match.
In the second session, Nash doubled the lead in the 54th minute. Betalbatim Sporting applied more pressure in the last ten minutes of the match but the strong defence of Navelim Sporting denied their strikers to score. Navelim Sporting will now meet Chandor SC in the semi-finals on October 6.
