HPCL thrash EIL for first win

BPCL, ONGC, IOCL continue to dominate

HPCL defeated EIL by 117 runs to register their first win in the PSPB Inter unit T20 cricket tournament, Tuesday. Batting first HPCL posted a huge target of 220/7 in 20 overs as Adeep Usmani missed his century by 9 runs before he was dismissed for 91 of 41 balls.

Aditya Vikram (EIL) took 3 wickets for 45 runs. In reply, EIL failed to chase the target and were bundled out for 103. Onkar Jadhav and Nishant Willams took 2 wickets each in a match played at MCC

The second match played at Arlem between BPCL and OIL saw BPCL winning by 9 wickets. After winning the toss, BPCL decided to field first and restricted OIL for 103 in 20 overs. Aavishkar S and Shreyas Iyer took one wicket each. Pragyan Ojha gave away 25 runs in 4 overs. Shreyas Iyer’s 67 and Bhavin Thakar’s 29 not out helped BPCL achieve the target in 13.4 overs.

In the third match at MCC, the host ONGC continued their winning streak as they beat MRPL by 9 wickets. Batting first, MRPL managed to post a target of 107/7, thanks to a 45-run knock from Ritesh D’Silva. Ankit Rajput of ONGC took 2 wickets for 8 runs. Suyal Sharma’s 53 guided ONGC to 111 in 7.3 overs.

In the fourth match at Arlem, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd thrashed NRL by 8 wickets. Batting first, NRL managed to score only 57 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Indian Oil Corporation scored 58/2 in 4.5 overs . Rajesh P of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd took 2 wickets for 5 runs.
