Kaushal slams ton as Borda RCC beat DY Patil

Opener Kaushal Singh (128) and his first-wicket partnership of 190 runs with Pralav Kerkar (96) sealed Borda RCC’s second win by 129 runs against DY Patil School, Kolhapur at SAG’s Fatorda grounds, Tuesday.

In the 40 overs-a-side match, winning the toss and batting first on a flat pitch, the Borda side openers played systematically piling runs at every opportunity. Without giving a semblance of a chance, the Borda openers laid a sound base for their side to eventually put on a massive score of 315 for 5.

Apart from their openers who scored big, Pushpadeep Kossambe with an unbeaten 20 made his presence felt at the crease.

For DY Patil School, Kolhapur, Yashvaraj Belgaonkar was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 wickets while Adnaan Kacchi took 2.

The Kolhapur side folded up for 186 in 39.4 overs. Rishikesh (46), Adnaan (33) Belgaonkar 21* and

Chetan (10) were the batsmen who reached double digits for the visitors. For the Borda outfit, Tushar Patel (3/14), Saiesh Satardekar (2/14) stood out, with Fardad Postwala, Aniket, Rishikesh Desai, Aditya Sawant and Mandar Kurade chipping in with a wicket each.

Kolhapur play their last match today.
