MARGAO:Panchwadi Sports Club beat Assolda Sports Club 1-0 to emerge champions in the All Goa football tournament organized by Friends Circle of Assolda at Panchayat Ground, Assolda.
Both the teams played entertaining brand of soccer and kept the crowds on their toes. They had equal number of scoring chances but failed to find the target in the initial phase of the game.The all-important goal was scored by Joyton Fernandes.
Custodio Fernandes,panch of VP Assolda was the chief guest and give away the prizes in the presence of guest of honour Aleulia Alfonso, ex sarpanch of VP Avedem and Antonio Pexeito, ex Dy Sarpanch of VP Xeldem and Caetano Fernandes member of VP Assolda. The tournament was sponsored by Rosario Marate Fernandes, ex ZP Member,Xeldem.
