Panjim Footballers emerged champions of the GFA Vedanta Women’s League for the second consecutive time following their goalless draw against Ambelim Sports Club at Ambelim Ground on Tuesday.
Panjim Footballers are on top of the table with 25 points from 11 matches and are
yet to play their last game against Albert Developers while Goan FC are on second spot with 24 points after 12 matches and Churchill Brothers are on third spot with 20 points and are yet to play their last game.
GFA President Churchill Alemao congratulated Panjim Footballers and said, “Being consistent is what matters
the most and I would
like to congratulate the
team for winning the
title for the second time in a row.
It is great to see the girls compete at this level and with such a structure, we
should have better players in future.”
