Parish Youth, Nuvem blanked Curtorim Gymkhana 2-0 to enter the semi-finals of 40th St Joseph Festival inter village football tournament organized by Dramapur Sports Club at Dramapur ground, on Tuesday. Parish Youth were leading 1-0 at the breather.
Parish Youth started the game on a positive note with their forwards involved in many attacks and broke the deadlock in the sixth minute when Richard Colaco slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot. Parish Youth intensified their attacks but could not add to their tally due to inept shooting by their forwards. On the other hand, Curtorim Gymkhana took time to settle down and took the fight to the rival camp but their forwards ran out of ideas after reaching the rivals' danger zone.
Crossing over, Parish Youth continued to enjoy the better share of exchanges and made a couple of sorties but they could not get past the rival goalkeeper. Standely D'Mello scored the insurance goal in the 65th minute when he punished the rival goalkeeper with a neat finish.
