India forward Robin Singh is in talks with FC Goa over a potential move to the club for the third season of the Indian Super League (ISL), according to reports.
Robin, who injured his knee in a SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Cup match in Sri Lanka, was undergoing a recovery programme in Goa and has been simultaneously talking with FC Goa over a potential move from Delhi Dynamos. The 26-year-old is one of the standout names from the list of players that the Gaurs have been eyeing.
The Gaurs have signed Atletico de Kolkata defender Denzil Franco and are expected to sign six to seven Indian players in the coming days. Meanwhile, the likes of Romeo Fernandes, Mandar Rao Dessai, Laxmikant Kattimani, Victorino Fernandes, Gabriel Fernandes, Raju Gaikwad and Nicolau Colaco are certain to sign for Goa.
FC Goa has signed just four Indian players, namely Debabrata Roy, Keenan Almeida, Pratesh Shirodkar and now Denzil Franco, with Jofre Mateu being the only foreign player to sign on the dotted line for the Gaurs. Singh’s move to FC Goa seems imminent with the club’s off-field issues clearing away, paving way for transfer market activity.
