Sao Jose de Areal beat Betalbatim Sports Club 6-4 via tie-breaker in the 12th London Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Goa Velha SC.
Betalbatim created the first attempt of the game but Dylan Rodrigues failed to get past the goalkeeper of Areal. At the other end, Fredrick Endro raced down the right flank but his shot went inches away from the crossbar. In the second half, Klusner Pereira gave the Betalbatim side the lead. But their joy was short-lived as Areal came up with the equaliser after David Colaço headed home to make it 1-1. In the tie breaker, Hastan Dias, Joseph Monteiro, Cheston Gomes, Ricky Fernandes and Vishal Fernandes scored for the Areal team while Klusner Pereira, Selio Fernandes and Manushawn Fernandes converted for Betalbatim.
