Nauxim Sports Club registered a 4-1 win over Young Boys of Tonca in a GFA Second Division League Ilhas Zone match played at Taleigao ground, on Monday.
Satish Kankonkar scored two goals in a span of two minutes for the winners late in the game.
After a period of end to end football, Young Boys of Tonca scored the first in the 36th minute through Shubham S. But Nauxim SC kept knocking at the rival door and finally made it all square in the 44th minute. The teams were tied 1-1 at the break.
Changing ends, it was all Nauxim’s game. They commanded the midfield and kept spraying passes to their strikers. They took the lead in the 66th minute through Sagar Faterpekar.
Young Boys pushed more men forward in search of an equaliser. In the bargain, their defence was left exposed and Satish capitalised, scoring his two goals in the 85th and 87th minutes to seal the three points for Nauxim.
