Speaking to media persons after the visit, Sherawat described her visit as being undertaken to check the preparedness of the stadium. She said the visit reviewed the disaster preparedness by taking a round of the facilities at the stadium, including the important gates, the sitting arrangements. It also included various disaster aspects such as the placement of fire tenders, etc.
She also informed that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is also expected to examine the stadium to take stock of the arrangements and the preparedness. She expressed satisfaction with the arrangements in place for the event.
Sherawat also informed that a Mock Drill had been conducted to check the security arrangements. "More such surprise Mock Drills will be conducted," she added.
