Sporting Clube de Goa face Sporting Club Bengaluru on May 15 in their final fixture of the I-League 2 season. The Flaming Oranje return to the Bambolim Stadium looking to conclude the campaign with a win on home soil.
The standings remain competitive heading into the final round. Sporting Clube are sixth on 10 points after seven matches, level with fourth-placed Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC, who have a better goal difference but have played one match more. Fifth-place Sudeva Delhi FC also have 10 points from eight matches.
A victory on Friday is vital for the Goan side to solidify a top-five finish and build on their recent Goa Professional League success.
As the season reaches its climax, the pressure is on at both ends of the table. Delhi Football Club continues to lead the pack with 16 points and an impressive goal difference, having scored 19 times in 7 matches. 
Chasing them closely are FC Bengaluru United and United Sports Club, both tied on 14 points, making every goal in the final round crucial for the final rankings. Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC are currently fourth with 10 points,
