A splendid hat-trick by striker Steward D'Costa helped Salcete FC crush Churchill Brothers Sports Club 3-0 in their GFA's Under 14 League at SAG Artifical Turf Grounds, Fatorda on Saturday.There was no score at the lemon break.
Salcete Football Club was more dominant in both the halves but could not score due to inept shooting by their forwards. Crossing over, Salcete Football Club showed urgency and breached the rival defence and their breakthrough came in the 53rd minute when Steward D'Costa slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot. Buoyed the lead, Salcete Club upped the ante and doubled the lead in the 54th minute when Steward D'Costa punished the rival goalkeeper with clinical finish in the 54th minute and again he drove the last nail into the rival's coffin late in the second half to register his hat-trick.
