The King’s School girls triumph at CBSE U17 Girls National Football C'ship

The King’s School Girls’ football team has achieved a monumental victory today by winning the CBSE U17 Girls National Football Championship held at RMK Residential Senior Secondary School, Tamil Nadu.

TKS Goa defeated St Joseph Co. Ed School, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh 4-0 with Valaina Fernandes scoring a hattrick and Keren D’Souza getting one goal.

The school management said that the victory is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the players, who have spent months in regular and focused training under the expert guidance of Sports Director Christian Roldan. His strategic thinking and philosophy have been the cornerstone of the team’s success.

The milestone would not have been possible without the unwavering support of The King’s School Chairman, Melvin Pereira, and Director, Ligia Pereira, for whom this achievement was once a dream and now a reality.

In the semi-final, TKS Goa defeated Army Public School Nehru Road, Uttar Pradesh, 6-1

Goals scored by Analee D’Costa, Valaina Fernandes (2), Neha Verlecar, Vanya Rodrigues and Keren D’Souza.

Valaina Fernandes was named Player of the Tournament for her exceptional performance, having scored an impressive total of 14 goals throughout the championship. The King’s School team scored a total of 29 goals in 6 matches, conceding only 1 goal during the entire tournament.
