The ongoing football mania has caught up with public transportation with a passenger rickshaw painted in FC Goa colors and emblem/mascot.
It's not only the passenger rickshaw that is painted in orange and blue, Forca Goa brigade's official colour, but names of all the FC Goa players and coach Zico with their jersey numbers finds a mention on the rickshaw. Words like 'Di Teka', 'Mar Goal', also finds mention on the rick.
Sachin Dessai, seems to be smitten by the football mania, has on three occasions traveled to PJN stadium-Margao in this rickshaw to watch the matches, but was sadly disappointed by the drubbing FC Goa received in their last home-ground match in ISL2.
"The wins in first two matches has brought everyone on their toes on the ground as well as in-front of the idiot boxes, but with that defeat, I was forced to sneak out of the stadium, and in the same manner drive off with my rickshaw from the outskirts of Margao town to avoid noticing by die-hard and badly disappointed fans on that night. I didn't expected any retaliation by disappointed fans, but being myself most disappointed, I felt I should not be the reason for anyone annoyance under the situation on that night," he said.
"However, nothing is over yet, and I like most other Goans still feel Forca Goa can still create ripple in Indian football, by winning all their remaining matches and also ISL 2 finals," says Sachin.
