Tri Kids Goa 2016, a triathlon for kids was organised by Enduro Sports Goa on Sunday at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa.
Over 60 kids took part in the event which consisted of each participant doing swimming, cycling and running in the same order in different age categories -- 6-9 years, under 11 years, under 14 years and under 16 years -- with the youngest category having the most number of participants.
All participants who successfully completed the race received a medal for completion. The race was flagged off by Brigadier Sunil Agarwal, Commandant, 2STC Bambolim and the prizes were given away by Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza.
Results: 6 to 9 years - 1st: Jeeth Deepak Sai (7mins 05sec), 2nd: Kyle Gasper (7:19), 3rd: Arnav Nama (7:27); Under 11 yrs - 1st: John Willcocks (20:20), 2nd: Ethan Pinto (21: 23), 3rd: Keith Costa (22: 29); Under 14 yrs - 1st: Saish Chougule (30: 51), 2nd: Johann Jose Pinto (31: 52), 3rd: Sachin CM (32: 54); Under 16 yrs - 1st: Arnav Deshmukh (40:23), 2nd: Yuvraj VN (40:44), 3rd: Ananya Mukherjee (42: 46).
